History of Big Bang Events

Big Bang Events was formed in 1998 in London by Managing Director Alison Welsh, inspired by her passion and experience within the corporate events sector. Alison believed that there was a desperate need for a full service events supplier that could provide both the creative inspiration and range of event services demanded by a blue chip client base.

Harnessing all her experience and contacts, Alison then set out to form a company that had the capability to deliver her vision. She recruited only the best members of staff available and integrated a team of high calibre suppliers to ensure that the Big Bang strapline - Creating Exceptional Events - became the company's mantra.

Negotiating an exclusive management contract with the Cannon Bridge Roof Garden in the heart of London proved to be a pivotal moment in the company's history. The breathtaking beauty and stunning views appealed to Alison's creative senses and she began developing Cannon Bridge Roof Garden into one of London's most desirable venues. It was not long before Big Bang began to attract a prestigious blue-chip client base, who were looking for a venue and event management service in keeping with their corporate cultures.

Other facets of the business soon followed, with luxurious balloons, corporate gifts and party boxes,  all with Big Bang's customary panache. Big Bang parties became synonomous with flair, attention to detail and hints of indulgence. The events media began to take notice and word of mouth did the rest.

Staff numbers increased and Alison then decided to follow her love of horses and relocate to Wiltshire in 2004. The business benefited and evolved into the current Big Bang full-time team of eight strong events professionals located in a converted barn complex on the fringes of Salisbury Plain.

Big Bang Events is now one of the leading events companies in the UK dedicated to a loyal client portfolio who all benefit from the vision, ambition and talent that so characterise the brand.
